Guilherme "Billy", Chidi" Gomes, 57, passed away Friday November 10, 2023. Born in Brava, Cape Verde but he grew up in Pawtucket, RI. He was the beloved son of the late Manuel R. Gomes and Maria Barros of Pawtucket. He had been employed by Nolco for many years and Rui Construction Company in Pawtucket. Billy is survived by his daughter Sheila, grandchildren Lucas and Anastasia, siblings Maria Anita DosSantos, Jovelina Pires, Francisco Gomes, Suzy Maria Gomes, and Steven Gomes, 14 nieces and nephews, 16 great-nieces and great-nephews. Billy is preceded in death by his brother Jorge Gomes, nephew Jeffrey S. Gomes, sister Maria Teresa Marini, and father Manuel R. Gomes.
Many will remember Billy by his life quote, "Things can only go one way, It’s either my way or the highway. That’s the bottom line."
Relatives and Friends are invited to attend visitation on Saturday, November 18th 2023 from 3pm-6pm in the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave., Lincoln, RI. Burial private.
