In Loving Memory of Evelise Fernandes, affectionately known as Leleta.

Leleta, 48, departed from this world on 11/14/2023, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories. She was born on January 15, 1975, in Praia, Cape Verde, to her loving parents, Alzira Rodrigues Fernandes and Diamantino Rodrigues Fernandes.

Leleta was a devoted mother to her three children, Davian Brito (11), Daviana Brito (16), and Tiffany DosReis (29). Her nurturing spirit and unwavering love formed the foundation of a close-knit family that supported one another through thick and thin.

For 19 years, Leleta dedicated her professional life to the Wrentham Development Center, where her commitment and compassion touched the lives of many. Her impact was not only felt in the workplace but also within the broader community, where she selflessly contributed to the betterment of others.

Leleta was surrounded by a vast network of family and friends, evident in her 22 nieces and nephews who will forever carry her warmth in their hearts. She shared a special bond with her siblings: Rito Fernandes, Rita Fernandes, Antonieta (Ilda) Debarros, Diamantina (Tina) Barbosa, Maria (Tchimey) Fernandes, Jose (Ze) Fernandes, Diamantino Fernandes, Odimir (Udi) Fernandes. Their shared experiences and support created a resilient family bond.

Among her many passions, Leleta had an infectious love for dancing, music, and the simple joys of life. She reveled in creating cherished moments with friends and family, filling their lives with joy and laughter. Her vibrant spirit and enthusiasm for life were a source of inspiration to those fortunate enough to know her.

In this time of sorrow, let us remember Evelise (Leleta) Fernandes for the light she brought into our lives and the enduring impact she had on those around her. May her soul rest in eternal peace, and may her memory continue to be a beacon of love for those who mourn her loss.

Relatives and Friends are kindly invited to attend visitation on Sunday, November 19th from 2pm-5pm in the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave., Lincoln. Her funeral will be held on Monday, November 20th from the Keefe funeral home at 9:00am followed by a funeral home service starting at 10:00am. Burial will be in North Burial Ground Cemetery, Providence.
