In Loving Memory of William De Jesus Lopera
Born on February 1, 1961, in Envigado, Colombia, William De Jesus Lopera embraced a life that spanned continents and touched countless hearts. In pursuit of a brighter future, he immigrated to the United States in 1984, alongside his devoted mother and siblings.
The son of the late Aurelio and Alicia Lopera, William built a life centered around love and family. He was the cherished husband of Carmen, and together, they created a legacy of warmth and unity.
William leaves behind a tapestry of love in the hearts of his children: Carmen Lewis and her husband Raymond of Medway, MA, Alexandra Ferreira and her husband Christopher of Long Island, NY, Adriana Espitia and her husband Manuel of Nashua, NH, and son William Andres of Pawtucket, RI.
Affectionately known as "Belo," he was a beacon of love for his grandchildren Sean, Hunter, Zachary, Haylie, Isaiah, Cole, Julian, Lily, Liam, and the newest addition, baby Espitia.
In addition to his immediate family, William is survived by his siblings, Herman, Maria, and Fernando of Colombia, and Josefina, Jose, and Humberto of Florida. Together, they mourn the loss of a brother who was not only family but a source of strength and joy.
As we say goodbye to William De Jesus Lopera, let us remember a life well-lived—a life woven with the threads of love, resilience, and unwavering familial bonds. May his memory live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend visiting hours on Tuesday, November 21st from 4:00 – 7:00pm at Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave., Lincoln.
