Henrique J. Rodrigues, 76, of Pawtucket, RI, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on November 28th, 2023. He was the loving husband of Laura (Silveira) Rodrigues for 55 years. He was also the proud father of two children: Lisa Almeida and her husband Fernando, Kevin Rodrigues and his wife Tanya, three grandchildren: Nickolas Almeida and his wife Brieanne, Zackary Almeida and Khloe Rodrigues (his princess), many nieces and nephews and his brother Manuel Rodrigues.
Born in Faial, Azores. He was the son of the late Henrique and Maria (Jorge) Rodrigues. When he was 17 he migrated to the United States where he worked at American Insulated Wire as a truck driver for over 40 years.
He was a kind, loving, nurturing, generous man who loved being with his family and friends most of all. Family parties and vacations were what he looked forward to in life. We will all remember the “Hank the Tank” dance moves. He will greatly be missed by all.
He was a die hard fan of auto racing and enjoyed his Saturday evenings at Seekonk Speedway where he loved cheering on the race team his son was on. In addition he had a strong spiritual connection to the Holy Spirit and spent many years in the Holy Spirit society for his church where he also served as the Mordomo.
Visiting hours will be Friday, December 1st from 4:00 - 7:00 PM at Keefe Funeral Home, 5 Higginson Ave., Lincoln, RI. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. His funeral will begin on Saturday, December 2nd at 8:30 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Saint Anthony's Church, 32 Lawn Ave., Pawtucket, RI at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Cumberland, RI.
