Dalphine Cooper transition to her eternal heavenly home on December 25,2023. She was born on August 21,1949 to Emma lee Walker and Lum Wise in Wake County North Carolina Dalphine was the 3rd child of 7 siblings.
She lived in North Carolina until moving to Bridgeport Ct. Then she met Edward Cooper jr. where they moved to Providence Rhode Island got married.
Dalphine was one that had a giving heart and compassion for others. She was a hard worker if anyone ever needed a place to stay they would always call on aunt Dalphine.
Dalphine worked as a forklift operator for Ciba Geigy pharmaceutical Company before eventually working at Rhode Island Hospital for over 20 years before retiring during that time.
Dalphine was a faithful member of Faith & Deliverance Tabernacle of God Church under the leadership and guidance of Bishop Patricia B. Smith. Dalphine became a Deaconess within the church as well as serving in many auxiliaries and capacities. She was a true believer and had a strong faith in God’s word.
She is survived by her five children Kenneth Wise Sr., of Providence,RI, Edward Cooper III of Hampton Georgia, Michelle Heard, Stacy Mae Cooper and Carl Randolph all of Providence RI
Her siblings Betty Traylor and Ann Yates of Conn. Hank Williams ,Carl Wise and Carl (Pearl) Wise of Prov. RI. Dalphine has 17 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren, as well as a host of nieces and nephews and friends.
She is preceded in death by her late husband Edward Cooper Sr., Mother Emma Lee Walker and Father Lum Wise as well as her sisters Joyce (Jean) Correia and Virginia Pearl (Gina) Wise.
Visitation will be held on December 30th, 2023 from 8am-10am with a service starting at 10am at The Pentecostal Church of God in Christ, 25 Mystic St. Providence, RI. Burial will follow in North Burial Ground Cemetery, Providence.
