“Manega de Lavabura”, 95, passed April 3, 2011 with her loving family by her side. She was the wife of the late Eduino Pereira, Born in Brava, Cape Verde, a daughter of the late Juzino and Joana Fernandes.
She came to the United States in 1969 and has resided most of her life in Fox Point.
She is survived by a daughter, Paula Lopes, four sons, Leo, Oliveria, Raymond and Alex Pereira, 5 sisters, Alice, Jeannie, Matilda, Bella and Cheche, 3 brothers, Arthur, Peter and Mumu, 14 grandsons, 6 granddaughters, 30 great grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren.
Her funeral will be held Saturday at 8am from the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln with a Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady of the Rosary Church, Traverse St, Providence at 10am. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence.
Relatives and friends are invited to calling hours on Friday from 6 to 9pm.
