Shirley B. Cornish Braxton went to be with the Lord on January 21, 2024 after becoming ill at Roger Williams Hospital in Providence, RI. She was born on November 17, 1950 to the late Myrtle E. Cornish Pinder and William E. Rogier, both of Maryland. She was the wife of the late Ronald D. Braxton. She was also the sister of the late Barbara Cornish and Florence Cornish Bivens.
She leaves to mourn her passing her siblings, Angelina Pinder, Gary Pinder, Cary Pinder, Sharon Childs, Regina Camper, Robert Pinder, Stephanie Bailer; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Shirley was employed by Blue Cross for many years, and she loved it, along with many jobs. She also loved going to school where she received nine college degrees. Her passion was playing the piano and talking to people about the Lord, which she loved going to church. But she is free, happy and at peace now with her heavenly Father in Heaven. Amen.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend visiting hours on Saturday, February 3rd from 10:00 – 11:00am at Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave., Lincoln, followed by a funeral home service at 11:00am. Burial will follow in Swan Point Cemetery, Providence.
