Rev. J. Aloysius Davis, a devoted Father, husband,pastor, Brother, son, and a friend to many. He passed away on Saturday January 20, 2024, at the Rhode Island Hospital, in Providence, Rhode Island. Rev.Davis Died at the tender age of 40 years old. Rev.Davis is preceded in death by his mother Norah Williams, his grandmother Sanday Gbayou and many other relatives.
Rev Davis is survived by his wife Deborah Davis, his children Desire Davis, Destiny Davis, Desmond Davis and Melvina Davis.
His Father John Davis and mother Rebecca Jarlwood;His sisters Pauline Sando Davis, Rosee Nimely, Rose G. shannah,Jonet Davies Copral,Weledeh Williams, Gladys Williams, Oretha SaylaGbayou.His brothers Watche Williams, Ben Williams, DioWilliams and Mayupleh Davis and Edward Williams.His Uncle Alfred Davis, Isaac Davis, Amos Davies, Saturday Gbayou And host of other relatives.
Rev Davis was born in Nimba Yekerpa on November 18, 1983, Republic of Liberia where he started his primary Education and later left for Buchanan, Grand Bassa County, in 1988, where he grew up with his Relatives and friends and enrolled at the Seven-day Adventist high school where he completed his secondary education in 2001 after which he came to Monrovia as a member of the YMCA and later started working with the Family planning of Liberia where he served as the youth president for the organization in Liberia.
In 2005, Rev. Davis enrolled at the African Methodist Episcopal University (AMEU), where he completed his college degree In Sociology.
In 2007 Rev Aloysius Davis traveled to the United States, where he met Deborah Johnson. They later got married in 2013 and were blessed with three beautiful children: Desiree, Destiny and Desmond Davies. While in the US, He devoted his life to serving the Almighty God; He got ordained by Rev. Alexander O. Gaye of the Trumpet of Faith Pentecostal Church.
Rev. Davis is an astute Christian and a devoted servant of God. His belief in the Christian Faith propelled him to establish the God’s Purpose and Redeemed Ministryin 2016; a Church geared towards releasing the voice of God through the power of the Holy Spirit; buildingFaith through the word and bringing Life by the word.Since its establishment, Rev. Davis had served as overseer and Pastor in Charge of the Church, nurturing several Ministers to promulgate the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ throughout the United States and abroad.
Aside from Church activities, Rev. Davis worked at the Judge Rotenberg Educational Center, a Day School and Residential Program for people with developmental and intellectual disabilities. His positions range from Behavioral Health therapist and Classroom Supervisorto In-House Monitor, up till his sudden demise.
