David Keith Santos, age 39, of North Providence, Rhode Island, passed away with his soulmate Marisa by his side on February 9, 2024.

David was born on September 20, 1984 in Pawtucket, Rhode Island to proud parents David S. and Rachel C. Santos. He attended North Providence High School where he not only excelled academically, but also showcased his athletic prowess as a member of the North Providence football team. David went on to have a career in the fire protection industry, obtaining multiple certifications and ultimately becoming a licensed fire alarm technician alongside his father. In 2003 he joined their family business where his dedication and expertise were invaluable.

David is survived by his devoted parents David and Rachel Santos, his cherished life partner and soulmate Marisa Vincent, and their two beloved daughters, Destiny and Alannah Vincent. He is also lovingly remembered by his sisters Tanya Santos, Erika Burruss, and Charlotte Henningsgard, his chosen brother Ruben Morales, his adoring nephews Casey and Joshua Linback, Andrew, Jacob, and David Burruss, as well as his nieces Brooklyn Burruss, Olivia, Destiny, and Kinsley Henningsgard, and Lilly and Emily Morales. Additionally, he leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and a multitude of friends who were touched by his kindness and warmth.

Marisa was the love of his life; Their connection seemed aligned in the stars. He cherished every moment with her, especially their morning rituals, where he loved to wake her up so they couldcatch the sunrise together. David, affectionately known as "Joshy" to many (but mostly by his girls) was immensely proud to be Destiny and Alannah’s father. He happily shared their accomplishments every chance he got. David's love for his wife and girls knew no bounds, and one could often find them gathered by the campfire together on late summer evenings. They would indulge in the simple joys of life—like listening to throwback tunes, roasting marshmallowsfor s'mores, and sharing a laugh over the occasional burnt hot dog. These moments will be etched in their hearts forever.

David adored the ocean and loved quahogging with friends and family. He could often be found spending a summer morning fishing with his late uncle Keith. He found joy in taking mini getaways, even if it was just a few towns over. Backyard barbecues and summer pool days listening to Frankie Lymon and The Teenagers brought him happiness, as he had a deep passion for music. Every year on his birthday he looked forward to his Auntie Dianne making his favorite pineapple upside down cake. She was more than just an aunt and godmother; She was a friend to confide in and depend on, who always knew how to make him feel special. Each year when autumn came around he would plan a day at King Richard’s Faire with his father where they would catch the sights, enjoy a bit of food and drink, and often join the bards in song. Calling his mother to make her laugh was one of his specialties and his happiness multiplied knowing that he was able to make her smile no matter the conversation. For him, the bond between mother and son could never be broken. His close circle of chosen family and friends was one of his proudest achievements and spending quality time with them to create lasting memories was always a priority. He made it a practice to reach out to his loved ones daily to check in and let them know he was thinking of them, because he always wanted to make sure they knew he cared.

David was the life of the party and his infectious laughter lit up the room. He will forever be remembered for his unwavering love and devotion to his family and friends. His compassionate nature and generous spirit will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. A memorial service will be held at Keefe Funeral Home in Lincoln, Rhode Island on Saturday, February 17, 2024 from 2pm-4pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the North Providence Jets Football Association.
