It is with profound sadness that the Ansumana and Dennis families announce the passing in his 99th year of Francis Edward Ansumana our amazing father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother-in-law, uncle, and friend.
Papa, Grandpa, Buddy (as he was affectionately called by his great grandchildren) and uncle peacefully transitioned from life to eternal life on March 25, 2024 at his home in Richmond Virginia.
He leaves to celebrate his life his children Ida Mamusu Ansumana, Frances Ansumana Jones, Victoria Ansumana Carter, son-in-law Benjamin Carter, Margaret Chinco Ansumana, Gloria G. Dennis and Adunni Dennis, grandchildren Pitman Tony Hill, Jamesette Hill, Teamah Enders Maddy (Donald), Deddeh Jones, Jeremy Bill Enders (Tameka), Benealia Carter, Lorpu Jones, Benjamin Carter Jr., Shyloe Jones and Katryna Carter. Great grandchildren Toni Hill, Iyunda Hill, Wanneh Hill, Donyelle Wright, Christian Maddy, Dakarie Enders, Adanna Enders, nieces, nephews and a host of relatives in the United States, Liberia, Sierra Leone and Europe.
He was predeceased by his wife of 60 years Annie Catherine Dennis Ansumana, his children Edith Ansumana, Catherine Ansumana and Annette Ansumana.
