82, of Lippitt Ave, passed April 23rd with her loving family by her side. She was the wife of John F. O'Connor. They recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.
Born in Fall River, she was a daughter of the late George R and Mae (Dolan) Martin.
June was a graduate of St Patrick Jr. and Sr. High School, Providence
She was a secretary at the former Notre Dame Hospital for many years and volunteered for the SPREAD program at St. Joseph Church and also helped the Sisters of Mercy at the "Warderobe"
Besides her husband she is survived by a daughter, Peggy Burbank of Cumberland, a son, Kevin O'Connor of Providence, 5 grandchildren, Stephanie Fawcett, June O'Connor, Jay, Matthew and Brittany Burbank, 2 sisters, Sr. Alberic Martin RSM and Ruth Ovalles and 4 great grandchildren.
She was the mother of the late John, Patricia and Timothy O'Connor.
Her funeral will be held Wednesday at 9:45am from the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln, with a Mass of Christian Burial in Historic St. Joseph Church, Mendon Rd, Cumberland at 11am. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Cumberland.
Calling hours will be held Tuesday from 5 to 8pm.
