Hazeline (Hazel) Ramsdell born October 31, 1932, in Shelby, North Carolina passed away on May 7, 2024, with her family by her side at Hope Hospice in Providence, RI.
Hazeline was the wife of the late Authur Ramsdell (Artie), mother of the late Bobby Jean Kilgore, and grandmother of the late Timothy Kilgore Jr. Hazel was the daughter of the Late Pauline Camp-Kilgore and Alonzo Kilgore.
Hazel dedicated a decade of her life working at Cable Electric, where she was described as a sweet woman. Throughout her life, Hazel brought joy to those around her and took great pride in caring for her family. Hazel loved cooking and baking and was well-known for her cakes during the holidays. Hazeline was also known for her love of teddy bears, which she affectionately referred to as her "kids that did not talk back". Hazel never missed a beat, remembering everyone's birthdays in the family. Nurturing her family is what kept her going through the years. Hazel's early hobbies included talking to loved ones and friends, dancing, entertaining, and tending to her plants.
She is survived by her children, Gail Harris, Deborah Kilgore-Bryant (New Jersey), Gary Kilgore, Timothy Kilgore Sr., Paula Underwood, Authur Ramsdell, Floyd Ramsdell, Shari Ramsdell, and Floyd Johnson-Ramsdell. Hazel leaves behind 22 grandchildren,67 great-grandchildren,8 great-great-grandchildren, and a host of relatives.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral on Friday, May 17, 2024, at 9:00 a.m. at Keefe Funeral Home 5 Higginson Ave., Lincoln, RI 02865 followed by burial at North Burial Grounds, 5 Branch Ave., Providence, RI.
