Armand L. Paquette, 96, passed peacefully on May 16, 2024 in Florida, where he had made his home for over 30 years. He was the husband of the late Jennie (David) Paquette and then longtime companion of Lynn Kline.
Born in Central Falls, RI, he was a son of the late J. Armand and Marie Y. (Coutu) Paquette and loving stepson of Irene Boisclair Paquette. He served in the US Army at the end of WWII as a surgical tech.
Armand had been employed as a Pipe-fitter and plumber for over 50 years.
He was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing cards. His favorite memories involved spending time with his family on the multiple cruises he took.
Mr. Paquette is survived by three sons, Joseph Paquette, Leo Paquette, his wife Brenda and Stephen Freitas, a daughter, Maria Schofield, his siblings, Ronald Paquette, his wife Elaine, nine grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Donald Freitas, and brother of the late Leo Paquette, Claire Rainville, Lorraine Gingras Desrochers, Colette Paquette and Conrad Paquette.
A Memorial service will be held on Sunday, June 30, 2024 at 10am in St. Cecilia Church, Central Ave., Pawtucket. Burial with Military Honors will be held Monday July 1, 2024 in Notre Dame Cemetery, Dagget Ave. Pawtucket at 1pm.
In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to the New Life Alliance Church, 1815 Forrest Hill Blvd, West Palm Beach, Florida, 33406.
