Maria Elisa Amaral, 81, passed peacefully on June 20th. She was born in Feiteiras, Sao Miguel, Acores, Portugal. She is the daughter of the late Mariano and Belmira Carvalho; she is the wife of Manuel Amaral, of Cumberland, RI. Elisa is the mother of Manny G Amaral and the late Lisa Cabral; she is the sister of late Alda Furtado and Zulmira Furtado; she leaves behind many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Elisa lived a humble life and was always taking care of her family. That being said, she was an exceptional cook and enjoyed feeding everyone. Anyone who knew Elisa knows that she had a great sense of humor. Elisa enjoyed traveling with her husband and being by the ocean. She enjoyed crocheting and sewing. She will be greatly missed by all of her loved ones.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 27th from 4pm-7pm, in the Keefe Funeral Home, 5 Higginson Ave. Lincoln, RI 02865. Her funeral will begin at 10:00am on Friday, June 28th at Our Lady of Fatima Church 1 Fatima Dr. Cumberland, RI 02864. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Cumberland.

We will have lunch to celebrate her life at Beirao: 1374 Broad St. Central Falls, RI 02863 at 12:15 after cemetery.
