Mr. Lambert died at 83 years, leaving his loving wife Linda (Scott) Lambert, who he met 52 years ago July 30, 1971. They fell in love quickly and eventually got married July 11, 1976. He also leaves his daughter Teesha Lambert, his son Tshombe (Holly) Lambert, and from a previous relationship leaves his daughter Kim (Aron) Lewis, twin sons, Bruce and Brian Lambert, and son Michael Lambert. He leaves a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren. He leaves his only sibling left from Florida, Curtis (Marie) Lambert. He lost a strong line of family members, his father Paul and his mother Maggie Lambert, his sisters, Grace Sills, Paulinda Lambert, and his brother Edleroy Lambert. He leaves a host of nephews, nieces who call him Uncle Tshom, cousins and many friends.
His family moved to Providence RI from Atmore, AL when he was 8 years old, living on the East Side of Providence as his father was in the US Navy, stationed in Newport, RI. He graduated from Hope High School where he was a sports star. After high school he continued playing different sports with his brothers, in many different leagues. They were very good and competitive. He also coached several little league teams.
He loved watching all sports with his wife and kids every weekend. He loved to cook. His favorite dishes were cooking potlucks and many other dishes on the grill. He would invite neighbors, friends, and other family over to enjoy the meal.
He worked as a Supervisor at Spraque MFG and as Manager at Harwood MFG. He hardly took any days off from work, he had to be seriously sick, because he loved his job.
He was a giving man, he loved giving gifts to family and friends. He loved spoiling his grandchildren, always overdoing it and tried to go to all their school and sport events, even taking them to or watching some of their practices.
His wife was happy, he shared the chores by doing the laundry and sometimes the shopping, but when he retired, he took most of the chores over.
He was always a busy man especially when it came to his children. He went to all their practices and sports games with his camera, recording everything, no matter what city or state they had to go to. He trained with them, as well as pointed out mistakes to help them improve. He always had his camera to tape family events and take pictures. If you have ever been in his home, you would see wall to wall pictures he took with his camera, and boxes of video tapes he recorded. We are so glad he left us viewing memories. He took pride in watching his kids and grandchildren perform.
Other favorite things he loved doing were going bowling, playing board games, cards and he loved music, especially the Blues. One of his favorite songs was “Shake, Rattle and Roll,” Teesha and Tshombe would say Dad, are you serious, some of the words would crack them up, they would be falling over laughing.
The Lambert family would like to thank you for being with us to say goodbye and to share the memories of our loved one.
