James A. Munroe, 84 of Griffith Drive, died Wednesday surrounded by loved ones at Rhode Island Hospital. Born in Barrington, RI, he was the loving son of the late Robert and Florence (Belfield) Munroe. Mr. Munroe wore many hats. He was a teamster/truck driver for Teknor Apex for thirty years and a Limousine driver for many years. Mr. Munroe drove the number fifty eight at Seekonk Speedway, and played as Santa Clause during his retirement years.
James Munroe leaves behind his wife of fifty - seven years, Juliette (Henley) Munroe. He is survived by one step - daughter, Nancy Gosselin, one step - son, Tony Oliver, one daughter, Julie DeLuca, & two sons from his previous marriage, Allen and Kenneth Munroe, one sister Dorothy (Munroe) Fanara, as well as five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 6th from 2pm-4pm with a service starting at 4pm in the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave. Lincoln. Burial private.
