Janice M. Dorval, 77, of Pawtucket, passed away on June 30th in Providence. She was the beloved wife of Charles E. Dorval for 56 years. Born in Pawtucket, she was a daughter of the late Leo A. and Dorothy P. (Newsham) Gauthier.

Janice worked as a registered nurse for many years before retiring. She and her husband were communicants of St. Margaret Church, where they were involved in several parish activities. She enjoyed painting, word games, and had a passion for Christmas.

Besides her loving husband she is survived by her children, Steven Dorval and wife Peggy of Boylston, MA, Michael Dorval and wife Jennifer of Northboro, MA, Roman Maddix and husband Chris Maddix of Foster; grandchildren, Alex Dorval, Justin Dorval, Kyle Dorval; a brother, Robert Gauthier and wife Tami of Cumberland; and dog, Molly.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, July 8th at St. Margaret Church, 1098 Pawtucket Ave., Rumford, RI at 10:00am. Burial will follow in R.I. Veteran Cemetery, Exeter. Calling hours are respectfully omitted. In Lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
