Paul Joseph McIlmail, of Cumberland, passed away peacefully on July 1, 2024, at the age of 85. He was the beloved husband for 59 years of Bernadette C. McIlmail.
Born in Cumberland, he was the son of the late William and Ann (Greenwood) and brother of the late Anne M. Whalley and Jean F. DiCenzo. Paul graduated from Cumberland High School. After high school, he served as a tank driver in the United States Army.
Paul was an extremely hard worker, working at Corning Glass Works for many years while running his own business for over 35 years as a master ceramic tile setter. He was an avid cribbage player. He also loved Frankie Valli, doing the jitterbug, going to plays and concerts, and spending time with family and friends. He will be truly missed.
He is survived by his five children: Timothy (Jody) McIlmail, Dawn (John) MacDonald, Daniel (Joy Mumford) McIlmail, Lynn (Brian) McNamara, Lee (Craig) Brown; 18 grandchildren, a great granddaughter, and many nieces, nephews and friends.
