Robert L. Renshaw, Sr., 83, of Pawtucket, passed peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on July 16th, 2024. He was the beloved husband of Sandra (Ryan) Renshaw. Born in Pawtucket, he was a son of the late Squire and Amande (Morrissette) Renshaw.

Bob graduated from Sacred Heart High School 1959. He was a US Coast Guard Veteran 1961-1965, participating in the Cuban Missile Crisis Blockade and graduated from the Coast Guard Academy with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He later attended Roger Williams University night school while raising his family and earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Electronic Engineering.

In fulfilling his life-long passion for space exploration, he acquired a position in the Manned Vehicle Laboratory at MIT and contributed to more than a dozen NASA space flight missions, including but not limited to, Payload Systems and Aurora.

Bob most cherished his loving family, often stating "my wealth is my family", consisting of his loving wife of 62 years Sandra (Ryan) Renshaw, daughters Sandra of Cranston, Susan of Glocester, Sherri of Pawtucket, Stacey of Pawtucket, Stephanie of Harrisville, sons Robert of Richmond, Ronald of Warwick and brother Lewis of Derry, NH. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, 3 nieces and 2 nephews.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend visiting hours on Sunday, July 21st from 2:00 – 4:00pm at Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave., Lincoln. His funeral will begin at 8:30am on Monday, July 22nd from Keefe Funeral Home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am in St. Mary Church, 103 Pine St., Pawtucket. Interment with military honors will follow in Mt. St. Mary Cemetery, Pawtucket. Memorial donations may be made in his name to the American Cancer Society and St. Jude's Children’s Hospital.
