Homero S. Leite Jr.
September 30, 1976-July 26, 2024
Homero peacefully passed away on July 26, 2024, at the age of 47. He was a beloved son, brother, uncle, father, and cherished friend to many. Homero was a lifelong resident of Rhode Island. He found immense joy in the simple pleasures of life, particularly his passion for fishing and working on cars. Whether he was casting a line in his favorite fishing spot or tinkering with his classic 1972 Oldsmobile Cutlass, Homero was always happiest when surrounded by his hobbies.
A skilled auto painter with a keen eye for detail, Homero took pride in restoring his classic car to its former glory. Fishing provided him with solace and relaxation, and he treasured the quiet moments spent by the water.
Homero was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Joaquim and Idalina Serra; paternal grandparents, Estevinha Fonseca Fernandes and Eleutiro Leite; stepfather Arthur Bento; and Nephew Devin Leite. Homero is survived by his parents, Maria Serra and Homero Leite. He is survived by his 3 brothers, Manuel Leite, David Leite, and Nilton Leite, and his 5 sisters, Madalena Leite, Vina Leite-Pereira, Lisa Leite, Christina Vasquez, and Elizabeth Fortes. He leaves behind many other beloved family members, especially his children, whom he loved very much, Brianna and Homero N. Leite III. Rominha will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His memory will live on in the hearts of those he loved.

A Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, July 31st, 2024, from 4pm-7pm at the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave. Lincoln with a collation to follow. Burial private.
