Lincoln: William “Bill” H. Boucher 79, of Lincoln died Friday, Septemeber 6, 2024 at the RI Veterans Home, Bristol. He was the devoted husband of the late Marie R. (Brown) Boucher for over 30 years.
Born in Central Falls, he was the son of the late William J. and Christina E. (Conroy) Boucher.
While serving in the US Air Force, he was stationed at Hahn Air Base during the Vietnam Era, as a Sergeant in the Security Police K-9 unit.
After his service, he graduated from Bristol Community College and worked for Job Development and Training for the State of RI. He then worked as a dedicated car salesman for Scott Volkswagen, of East Providence for 20 years.
An enthusiastic storyteller, he also enjoyed talking about good food, was an animal lover and was an avid reader.
He is survived by two daughters, Kathryn Boucher and Karen Wilson, and her husband Eric, a brother, Gerald J. Boucher, a sister, Denise Chevrette, her husband Donald, four nephews and a great niece.
A special thank you to the Angels at the RI Veterans Home, especially all those in Charlie 1.
Visitation will be held Thursday, September 12, 2024 from 9:30am and 11am followed by a service at 11am in the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave., Lincoln. Burial with Military Honors will be held in Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland.
In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made in his loving memory to the RI Veterans Home, c/o 480 Metacom Ave., Bristol RI 02809 or to the Friends of Providence Animal Care & Control Center (friendsofpaccc.org).
