DASILVA, Prescilo (aka Nunui Silva), 91, was called home on Thursday, September 19, 2024. He was born May 25,1933 to his late mother, Eugenia Goncalves, in Brava, Cape Verde where he had a tight knit family whom he treasured immensely. He went on to marry his wife Rosa (Djodja) and they had their first born in Cape Verde (CV) then moved to Angola, Africa where they went on to have four more adoring children and lived a fulfilled life. During a Civil War in 1975, Prescilo and his family moved back to CV to live with family. Shortly after, he moved to the USA and he worked fiercely to bring his family to the states where they all reunited and resided in Rhode Island (RI) since the 1970's.

Prescilo was an avid gardener and he loved growing vegetables during his retirement years. He always enjoyed listening to music, dancing and being with family which was the essence of his heart. If he could have a different cap for every day, he would and he did, same as with his Jordan high tops, his nephew designed many and sent them to him from the West Coast, all of which he was infatuated with and he was completely grateful for. He loved dressing well and smelling good. He was always happy, joyous and full of life. All those he touched never left without a smile. He was a ray of sunshine and his mission in life was loving, living and laughing.

He leaves behind his surviving siblings Carlos DaSilva (CV), Ana Silva and Domingas Fernandes both of RI, all of whom were his best friends as well as his late brother Joseph Rene. He is survived by the love of his life and wife Rosa DaSilva (aka Djodja Silva), whom he was married to for over 6 decades. His children, Domingos Silva and wife Lucilia, Eugenia Edouard and husband Roland, Cezar Silva and Emilia DaSilva-Tavarez and husband Prandy and late daughter Ana Silva. The unwavering love and affection for his grandchildren and great grandchildren will be his unforgettable legacy, all who love him dearly; Daniel Silva, Justin Rodrigues, Ariana Edouard, Anyssa Tavarez, Jaden Silva, Giana Edouard, Jean Roland (JR) Edouard, Xavier Tavarez, Nyliah Tavarez and the late Clarisa Silva, great-grandchildren Kingston Silva and Ava Silva. Along with many nephews, nieces and cousins and their family who he truly cared for every single one and all adored him.

Although family members are deeply saddened and mourn his departure, his time to rest has come and he is now at peace in God's presence with his loved ones in Heaven. Family members will forever cherish his devotion to life and the opportunity to be in his presence.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend visiting hours on Sunday, September 22nd from 2pm-5pm and Monday, September 23rd at 8:30am proceeding service at 10am at Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Avenue, Lincoln.
