Wayne Lynn Stuckey (POPS) 71, of Providence RI was a dependable, family man, born to the late Alton A Stuckey and the late Barbara O. (Jackson) Stuckey; on October 21, 1952. He departed this life on Tuesday, September 17th, 2024. Wayne took pride in the “Stuckey” name and gave all the love he had to his family, children, especially his grand and great grandchildren and his longtime friends. He was a hardworking man of many talents and skills; from changing tires and pumping gas as a youngster, to working for a Lawyer’s Office & Medical Institutions prior to becoming a Machinist for Wrexham Paper Mill where he would finally retire after 25 years. Wayne took pride in being CORRECT, especially during Jeopardy and family feud. POPS also had a way with “NUMBERS”, his big dreams always helped him win. Wayne loved to eat and had an affinity for eating delicious and exotic foods, which he loved to cook and share with everyone he cared for.

Wayne leaves behind his loving, devoted partner and common law wife Vermella L. Richardson (70) AKA Mrs. Penny, four children Wayne E. Richardson (53), TeLisa M. Richardson (50), Sheron L. Stucky (47), and LeVar S. Richardson (46) five Grandchildren, Kiara (Daniels)(32) {Braylyn} Jones}, of North Carolina Jasmine L. Stuckey (28), of (Virgina}; Devin L. Stuckey ( 20 ), Jae’lynn Stuckey (16), Da'sorn Richardson(12) and Two Great Grandchildren Adonis (8) & Kevon (5) of Virgina. Six beloved brothers, the late Alton Stuckey Sr. and Robert Lee, Stefan Stuckey of Florida, Darryl Stuckey Sr. Reginald Stuckey of Providence, and four adored devoted sisters the late Cheryl (Stuckey Lee, Roxanne (Stuckey) Madden, Betty Jean (Stuckey) Frazier, and Darlynne (Stuckey) Johnson all of Rhode Island, a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and God children and Friends in Rhode Island, and throughout the South and Bermuda.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 27th, 2024 from 9am-11am with a funeral home service starting at 11am. Burial will follow in North Burial Ground Cemetery, Providence.
