Celeste Oliveira (Mamita) Dias, 91, of Providence, Rhode Island, passed away on October 14th, 2024 in her home. Celeste was born in Sao Vicente to Antonio Oliveira Dias & Antonia Oliveira Paris on January 14, 1933.
Celeste was a loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother and will be missed by all. Celeste is survived by her daughter, Manuela Monteiro, in Dakar Senegal. Her grandchildren, Jeannine Monteiro, Francoise Monteiro, Doriana DeOliveira, Jerome Monteiro, Valerie Fernandes, Alana Russo, Jay-Daniel Healy, Derik- Rian Healy, and Aiden-Flynn Healy. Celeste also has 28 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her Husband, Daniel Fernandes and Daughter, Danielle Fernandes Healy.
Calling Hours will be held at the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln on Saturday, October 19th from 8:30am-10:00am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 21 Traverse St. Providence, RI at 10:30am. Burial will follow in Mt. St. Mary's Cemetery, Pawtucket.
