Joseph (Jose) Manuel Cordeiro, beloved brother and uncle, 73, passed unexpectedly on November 18, 2024. Born on October 29,1951 in Sao Miguel Azores, to the late Antonio and Elisa (Oliveira) Cordeiro. He immigrated to the United States in 1963, where he spent some time living in Taunton, MA and then moved with his family to RI where he went on to graduate from North Providence High School.

Joseph had been employed as a Truck Driver for many years, and was also a self-employed Carpenter, which was his passion. He was a lifelong New England Patriots fan. Joseph will be remembered as a kind, loving, and gentle soul, whose warmth and compassion touched all who knew him. His jokes and silliness put a smile on all who knew him those memories will never be forgotten. He loved to volunteer and help anyone he could in any way and made friends everywhere he went .

Joseph is survived by his sister Maria Clarke, nephew and godson Antonio Cordeiro III, nieces and goddaughters Nancy Cordeiro, Ilda Durvin, Dorothy Craig, great nieces Laura, Emily, Madison Julia, Sophia, Elisa, 1 great nephew Nicholas, and many cousins. He was the brother of the late Dilia Rodrigues and Antonio Cordeiro II and brother in-Law of the late Dennis Clarke.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, December 2nd, 2024 at Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 1081 Mineral Spring Ave. North Providence, RI at 11am. Burial will follow in Mt. St. Mary Cemetery, Pawtucket.
