I have fought a good fight; I have finished the race; I have kept the faith

(2 Timothy 4:7).

It is with profound sadness that the Goodridge, Davis, Murray and Garnett families announce the passing of their husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend, Mr. William “Bill” Roderick Goodridge, Sr. Bill peacefully transitioned on Sunday morning, November 10, 2024, at his home in Warwick, Rhode Island.

Bill’s jovial personality and generosity touched the lives of all he came in contact with. He will be dearly missed and fondly remembered for his many jokes that lit up every room he entered.

Bill was predeceased by his father Deacon John E. Goodridge; his mother Mrs. Johnetta Victoria Goodridge; brothers, John Goodridge, Jr., Gregory Goodridge, Clarence Augustus Goodridge; sisters, Cleopatra Goodridge, and Ruby Goodridge.

He leaves to celebrate his life and cherish his memory, his beloved wife, Mrs. Vireder Davis-Goodridge; his children: William R. Goodridge, II (Abby); William R. Goodridge, III, Brian Goodridge, Sherrelle Goodridge (fiance’ Corey), Briana Goodridge, and Deidre Goodridge; his granddaughter Sophie; his siblings: Eliza Goodridge-Simpson (Joseph), Bellie Goodridge, and Edwin Goodridge; his nephews, nieces, cousins and friends in the United States and Liberia.

Homegoing Services will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2024 as follows:

VIEWING: 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 am

SERVICE: 10:00 a.m.
