Clarence (Larry) Lucian Cyr, 89 of Lincoln, RI, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family. Larry was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, leaving behind a legacy of love, dedication, and hard work.

Born in Fall River, Massachusetts, to the late Henry and Florence (Maynard) Cyr. Larry lived a life full of passion, commitment, and quiet strength. He was married to his beloved wife, Mary (Pat) P. Cyr, for 69 years, standing as a testament to his deep love and devotion. Together, they raised five children and were blessed with 11 grandchildren, all of whom he adored.

Larry had a distinguished career at Paramount Greeting Cards and St. Jude Church, where his work ethic and care for others were evident. A talented self-taught carpenter, he crafted with precision and pride, leaving behind many projects that continue to stand as evidence of his skill and dedication.

He was also a passionate man of many interests. Although frustrated by the game, he loved playing golf for many years. His love for the outdoors was also reflected in his role as a Boy Scout cubmaster for his four sons, instilling in them the values of responsibility, community, and perseverance.

Larry’s devotion to his family, his work, and his community will be remembered fondly by all who knew him. He was a man of quiet strength and unwavering love, and his passing leaves a hole in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.

He is survived by his wife, Pat; his five children, Kevin Cyr, Keith Cyr, Kirk Cyr, Larry Cyr, Trish Murphy and his 11 grandchildren. He is predeceased by his twin sister Claire (Dufresne) Cyr, brother Richard Cyr and grandson Jack Cyr.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Jude Church, 301 Front St. Lincoln on Saturday, March 29th at 1pm.
