81, passed July 3rd at home with his loving family by his side. He was the husband of the late Norma L. Champagne.
He was the son of the late Oscar and Lena (Malo) Champagne.
Robert had been employed by Gorman's and then Nissan's Bakery for 22 years, he then worked at Coffee-An and the Miriam Hospital. He was a Veteran of the Korean War.
He is survived by a son, Robert A. Champagne Jr. and his wife Jacky,
a daughter, Coleen Hirschegger and her husband Karl, 4 step children, Linda Russolino, John, Timothy and James Bannon, 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Oscar Champagne.
A funeral service will be held Thursday at 9am from the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln. Burial with Military Honors will be in the RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Calling hours will be held Wednesday from 5 to 8pm. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to Home and Hospice Care of RI, 1085 North Main St, Providence, RI 02904.
