58, passed on July 23rd with his loving wife and family by his side. He was the husband of Joy Edwards Smith.
He was the son of George T. Smith Jr. and the late Phyllis (Reels) Smith.
George had been employed by National Grid for over 30 years.
He is also survived by 2 daughters, Ebony Faber and Joyll Smith, 2 brothers, Mark and Jason Smith, a sister, Debra Snead, a stepbrother, Thomas Buffi, 2 stepsisters, Camille Buffi and Paula Lanni two granddaughters, Abigail and Malila Smith and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Timothy, Victor, and Monica Smith.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11am in the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln. Burial will be private. Relatives and friends are invited; calling hours will begin at 9:30am. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to Home & Hospice Care of RI, 1085 North Main St, Providence, RI 02903.
