He was the husband of Irene (Read) Baptista and of the late Mary Baptista
Born in Brava, Cape Verde Island, a son of the late Pedro and Silvana (Serena) Baptista.
He had been employed by Texas Instruments as a tool maker for 30 years before retiring.
Besides his wife he is survived by two brothers, Manuel Baptista and Carlos Baptista, five sisters, Domingas Baptista, Maria Pires, Maria Baptista, Dinora Fontes and Telma Correia and many nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be held Tuesday at 8:30am from the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Cecilia Church, Central Ave, Pawtucket at 10am. Relatives and friends are invited.
Calling hours will be held Monday from 4 to 7pm.
