Born in Attleboro, he was a son of the late Walter and Helen (Carpenter) Arnold Sr.
Walter served our country for 20 years and was Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War. He was the father of five, Cheryl Figueira of Pawtucket, Walter E. Arnold III of Pawtucket, Nancy F. Girouard of Lincoln, Kevin E. Arnold of Woonsocket and Dawn M. Arnold of Central Falls, four brothers, Robert Arnold of Central Falls, Raymond Arnold of Johnston, George Arnold of Rehoboth and Joel Arnold of Hawaii, a sister, Nancy Alix of Pawtucket, 11 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and many nieces and Nephews.
He was the husband of Claire (Walters) Arnold. He was the brother of the late Charles and Earl Arnold.
A funeral service with military honors will be held Monday
at 10am in the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln. Burial will be private in the RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Relatives and friends are invited, calling hours will be held Sunday from 4 to 7pm. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to Home & Hospice Care of RI, 1085 North Main St, Providence, RI 02904 or to the American Cancer Society, 30 Spleen St, PO Box 9376, Framingham, MA 01701-9376.
