James W. McLaughlin Sr, "Jim" 77, passed January 21st. He was the husband of the late Dolores (LaPlume) McLaughlin.
Born in Pawtucket, a son of the late Alfred and Margaret (Grant) McLaughlin.
Jim had been employed by varies textile companies in the Blackstone Valley area and then worked of St. Vincent de Paul for ten years before retiring.
He is survived by three sons, James W. McLaughlin Jr. of Manchester, NH, Paul R. McLaughlin with whom he resided and Kenneth L. McLaughlin of Central Square, NY, two sisters, Claire Guay of Bradley, Maine and Elizabeth Wilcox of Pawtucket, a brother, William McLaughlin of Pawtucket, 4 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Alfred, John and Joseph McLaughlin and Dorothy Joseph.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday in Holy Spirit Parish, (St. Matthew Church) Dexter St, Central Falls at 10am. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket. Relatives and friends are invited. Calling hours will be held Tuesday from 5 to 8pm in the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln.
