74, of Foxboro Massachusetts, passed this Sunday with her loving family at her side. She succumbed to a brief 1 month battle with pancreatic cancer. Her friends know her as Merle.

Born in Pawtucket, RI, Merle was the daughter of Evelyn and Isadore. Merle was a long time Pawtucket resident but recently resided in Foxboro near her sons.

Merle was the mother of three beloved sons, Bob and Scott Adair and Brian Agin. Sadly, dear Brian passed over ten years ago at the young age of 28. In addition to daughter-in-laws Katie and Lucy, she also leaves grandchildren who she adored (and who also adored her in return). Bob and wife Katie have 3 children, Alexandra, Dan and Nick. Scott and former wife Lucy have 3 children, Patricia, Joseph and James.

She loved to be busy and worked full time up to the day she discovered her cancer. She started her day with a 5am to 10:30am shift and would then typically head to the gym for a workout and then to one of her house or office cleaning jobs. During Saturdays and off days, she'd join her friends at the yarn store for knitting and camaraderie. Sundays and evenings would oft find her at the soccer field, basketball court or auditorium watching a grandchild's game or performance.

Always cheerful and helpful, Merle has for years assisted elderly shut-ins. And, in memory of her late son Brian, she ran several road race events to benefit the Pawtucket Boys and Girls Clubs.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Friday from 5pm to 8pm in the Keefe Funeral Home, five Higginson Ave, Lincoln. A Requiem Eucharist will be held on Saturday, at 10am, in Saint Paul's Episcopal Church, Park Place Pawtucket. Burial will then be held at the Swan Point Cemetery, Providence.
