95, of Hunt St, passed on February 1st. Born in Central Falls, she was the daughter of the late Thomas A. and Rose (Theroux) Burns.
She had been employed for 35 years by the former Corning Glass of Central Falls.
Margaret was a former Chairperson of St. Matthew Church 75th Anniversary, two years celebration and former Vice President of their Womam's Club and also taught at their CCD Program. She was a volunteer at the former Notre Dame Hospital and former Vice President of their Ambulatory Auxiliary Center. Dot also was a 15 year volunteer at the Little Sisters of the Poor, for the Blackstone Valley Food Bank and Meals on Wheels. She was the sponsor of the Christopher's for many years.
She is survived by a cousin, Dr. Thomas Martin of Pawtucket and also leaves three nieces Marita, Tina and Darlene. She was the lifelong friend of Therese Dextradeur.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, February 9th at 9:30am in Holy Spirit Parish, Dexter St, Central Falls. Burial will be private in Mt. St. Mary Cemetery, Pawtucket.
