"Mocho de lolo" 79, passed February 4th under the loving care of the Philip Hulitar Center. He was the husband of Regina (de Barros) Gibau.
Born in Brava, Cape Verde Island, a son of the late Jose and Maria (DeLumba) Gibau.
Besides his wife he is survived by 6 daughters, Maria Gibau Fontes and Helena Gibau Godley, both of Pawtucket, Maria of Florida, and 3 other daughters in the Cape Verde Islands, three sons, John de Barros Gibau of Cape Verde, Edalberto Gibau and Euclides Gibau, both of Brockton, MA, 24 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, a sister, Dominga Gibau Fonseca, of Boston. He was the father of the late Domingos.
His funeral will be held Saturday at 8:30am from the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln with a Mass of Christian Burial in Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, High St, Pawtucket at 10am. Burial will be in Mt. St. Mary Cemetery, Pawtucket. Relatives and friends are invited. Calling hours will be held Friday from 5 to 8pm.
