41 of Pawtucket passed away peacefully with his family by his side on March 9, 2012 after a heroic battle with leukemia. Jerry is survived by his wife, Missy, the love of his life. He is also survived by his best friend and only son Jerry Moniz Jr, and three amazing daughters, Kelsey Davenport, Jalen and Rowan Moniz. The son of the late Dolores and Henrique Moniz Sr, Jerry will be greatly missed by his devoted sisters Elaine Marrero and Diane Moniz Reed, and his loving brother, Henry Moniz Jr. He was preceded in death by his brother Joaquin Moniz. Jerry will also be sadly missed by his parents in law Armand and Pat Dame, several nieces and nephews and an adoring extended family. Jerry was employed by Robert Karpp Co. of Boston for several years. A lifelong NY Yankees, Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia 76ers fan, Jerry was unwavering in his loyalty. Fantasy football has lost a celebrated "Commish". A fantasy football legend in his own mind, draft night will never be the same without Jerry. Although a passionate sports enthusiast, nothing compares to the joy and pride he felt as a husband and father. He loved his family more than life itself.
