88, of 466 Hunt Street Central Falls passed away at Memorial Hospital on December 3rd. He was the husband of the late Catherine Kabbaze who pre-deceased him on 12/3/97. December 3rd was also Louis' mother's birthday.
Born in Central Falls the son of the late Joseph and Elizabeth (Shenekgy) Kabbaze, he was a life long resident of Central Falls and attended school there. He served in the Merchant Marines and worked in the jewelry industry most of his life, retiring from Speidel Company in February 1982.
He is survived by his daughter, Carole Kelly of Pawtucket, two sisters Janet Chaisson of Pawtucket and Ann Chadwick of Central Falls, and two brothers Gabriel Kabbaze of Rumford and George Kabbaze of Central Falls. He was also the brother of the late Albert, Anthony and William Kabbaze.
Louis was a big sports fan enjoying boxing, football and horse racing, and spent many days at Twin River with simulcast racing. Louis loved his cat Dennis.
Calling hours will be held Sunday from 5-8pm in the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln, RI. Burial will be private. A Memorial Mass will be held at the Church of St. Basil the Great at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to the St. Basil Church building fund, 15 Skyview Drive, Lincoln RI 02865.
