"Tony", 81, passed April 29th at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center, Providence. He was the husband of Charlotte (Bruno) Medeiros. They have been married for 47 years.
He was the son of the late Anthony and Maria (Pacheco) Medeiros.
He had been employed as a truck driver for 45 years and was a member of the Teamsters, Local 251.
Tony was a Korean War Veteran; he enjoyed fishing and boxing. His greatest joy was time spent with his family.
Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, Steven Medeiros and his wife Dawn, Glenn Medeiros and his wife Kerrie, a daughter, Julie Medeiros, 8 grandchildren, Glenn Jr, ILaura, Steven Jr, Krystiana, David, Sarah, Alexandra and Jacob, a sister, Hilda Pimental, a brother, Andy Medeiros and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his sisters, Elsie Andrade, Mary Pluta, Edie Jorge and Tillie Gibbons. He was the cherished son in law of the late Vincent and Laurentina Bruno.
His funeral will be held Wednesday at 9am. from the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at St. Basil the Great Church, Skyview Drive, Lincoln at 10am. Burial with military honors will be in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston. Relatives and friends are invited.
Calling hours will be held Tuesday from 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm.
