Born in Providence, a daughter of the late George and Eliza (Burns) Mitson.
After graduating from St. Xavier's Academy, she had been employed by New England Telephone then Amica Insurance Company.
She is survived by several cousins including her caregivers, Helen M. Shields of Johnston and Martha LaBrosse of Lincoln.
Her funeral will be held Wednesday 8am from the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Eugenes Church, Rt. 44, Gloucester at 9:30am. Burial will follow in St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket.
