83, passed at home on July 29th. He was the husband of Beverly E. (Brooks) Wright.
Born in Lincoln, a son of the late William J. Wright Sr. and Henrietta (McCaughey) Wright. James was a history teacher at Lincoln and Foster Gloucester school systems for 25 years. He also served as the basketball coach in Foster Gloucester. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean War, a life member of the VFW Post 602 and also the American Legion Post 14.
He is survived by a son, Andrew Brooks Wright of Roseville, CA, a brother, William J. Wright Jr. of Uncasville CT, a sister, Henrietta L. Rodgers of Cumberland and two grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Kenneth and Garvin Wright. Calling hours will be held Saturday from 2 to 4pm in the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln. Burial will be private
