75, passed away unexpectedly September 12th
at home.
She was the daughter of the late Edward and Helen (Gagnon) Gingras.
Doris had been employed as a Nursing Assistant at the Memorial Hospital of RI for over 25 years. She previously was a preschool teacher and social worker.
She is survived by four daughters, Cheryl Savastano of Cumberland, RI and her daughter, Lauren, Lynn Cruise and her companion, Cody Robyn, of Mansfield, MA and her sons, Brendan, Nicholas and Mitchell, Karen Hanson and her husband Jay of Norton, MA and their children, Tara, Jack and Elizabeth, Renee Arnold and her husband Gregory of Rehoboth, MA and their children Sarah and Matthew, a son, Charles E. Ostiguy and his wife Shannon Gilheeney of North Kingstown, RI and their children Shawna, Austin, Ansley, Cameron, and a brother, Edward Gingras of Bellingham, MA, and his children.
Her funeral will be held Monday at 8:30am from the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. John Vianney Church, 3609 Diamond Hill Rd, Cumberland at 10am. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket, RI. Relatives and friends are invited. Calling hours will be held Sunday from 5 to 8pm. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to the Catholic Charity Fund, One Cathedral Square, Providence RI 02903.
