d/o/b 09/04/1951 to 10/01/2012. Son of Dorothy Panners-Ziemba and the late Alex Jacob Panners, survived by fiancé’ Pamela A. Driver, Sisters Nancy Cedar and Diane Wilson and brother of the late Stephen Panners.

Robert Panners was self employed in the aftermarket parts distribution business for the past 5 years, known as the "Crash Master". He was in the field for over 30+ years and truly loved seeing his people daily and the camaraderie that went along with the job as they became friends.
He was an avid sportsman and loved the Red Sox & the Patriots. He was and still is a die-hard fan of all times, good & bad! Hopefully, in heaven he will see another championship for both teams!
Robert excelled in sports and won numerous championship titles along the way. He got a "look" from the infamous Yankees and did well in his high school years with hitting the longest home run ever by a high school athlete at the McCoy Stadium where he had a trophy that was showcased for many-many years.
Robert is a natural athlete. One whom welcomed competition and his next sports venture was to be in the game of golf. He had a dream post-hospitalization to play golf in Hawaii. He wasn’t able to make it there, however, we are all so proud of his fight to the end and his courage and endurance was a vision that will never be forgotten. When told he had cancer he was shocked, as he was still fighting to live a longer life with all of us. He actually wanted extreme measures but it wasn’t going to happen as the fight had to unfortunately be over for him (and us). He never said poor me, he just fought and our respect for him is undying. Robert was easy to love as he gave love back so freely to all of us.
Robert was a good family man who treasured the holidays and family get-to-gethers. His laughter was infectious, his smile warming and there was something to say about his cooking and grilling skills! Known as the "Grill Master" he would cook for all of us and we loved it. In addition, he was an excellent gardener and loved fine dining and being a homebody. There wasn’t a Sunday that went by where he and Pam didn’t have a great Sunday dinner prepared by Robert while watching some or all of the games on T.V.
Robert will be missed no doubt, by family and friends. There was something about his laughter, his warmth and his caring ways that will live within all of us in his demise. He will truly be missed by all of us.
Calling hours will be held Saturday from 2 to 4pm followed by a service at 4pm in the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln. Burial will be private.
