Born in Loiza, Puerto Rico, a son of Luz Marquez of Providence.
He had been employed by Igus Inc. for several years. He was former "Puerto Rican Man of the Year" in Central Falls.
He was the proud father of 19 children, many grandchildren and brothers and sisters.
A Funeral service will be held Tuesday at 10am in the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln. Burial will be in North Burial Ground, Providence. Relatives and friends are invited, calling hours will be held Monday from 5 to 8pm.
