73, of Ames St, passed Tuesday at the Hospice Inpatient Center. He was the husband of Claire L. (Rattie) Marty. They have been married for 36 years.
Born in Pawtucket, a son of the late Fredrick and Agnes (Polion) Marty.
He had been employed by Colfax Inc. for many years and was a member of the Teamsters local 251. He was a Marine Veteran of the Korean War and a member of the VFW Post 43.
Besides his wife he is survived by a son, Brian F. Marty of Pawtucket, two daughters, Carol L. Cekala of Weston, MA, and Elizabeth A. Raleigh of Cranston. Two sisters, Claire Medeiros of Cumberland and Roberta Presby of Virginia Beach, five grandchildren, two great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Deborah Marty and brother of Raymond Marty.
Calling hours will be held Friday from 5-8pm from the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln. Burial with Military Honors will be in the RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to the RI Alzheimer’s Association.
