89 passed on January 6th. She was the wife of the late Estevao Mata: Born in the Madeira Islands of Portugal, Maria was a daughter of the late Joao and Francisca (Cezar) Martins. She had been employed by Murdock Webbing for ten years.
She is survived by four daughters, Maria Julia Vieira of Central Falls, Theresa Simoes of Florida, Fatima Teixeira of Cumberland and Celina Marques of Cumberland, a son, Placido Mata of South Africa, eleven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Her Funeral will be held Wednesday at 8:45am in the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln with a Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady of Fatima Church, Fatima Dr, Cumberland at 10am. Burial will be in Mt Calvary Cemetery, Cumberland. Relatives and friends are invited. Calling hours will be held Tuesday from 5 to 7pm.
