78, of 75 East Ave., and formerly of Hamlet St., both in Pawtucket, passed away peacefully early Saturday morning at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center in Providence.
Born in London, England he was the son of the late Edward & Rose (Davies) Steele. As a young man, he served in the Queens Royal Army.
Mr. Steele was a salesman for Archway Cookies for 18 years, Pepperidge Farm for 12 years and retired from S&M Distributors at the age of 75.
Bob was an avid bowler and enjoyed spending time with his twin grandsons, Aidan and Caleb Steele. He was a devoted father to son Shayne R. Steele and husband to wife Kristen of Seekonk, MA. He was uncle to Suzanne Rigley, Barbara Austin, David Cudak and Christine Hughes and brother to the late James Steele, Olive Cudak and Eileen Taveira.
Arrangements are entrusted to Keefe Funeral Home, 5 Higginson Ave., Lincoln, where family will receive friends Wednesday 5-8pm. Funeral Thursday at 11am in the funeral home. Burial will be private, at the request of the family.
