81, died Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at home. A lifelong resident of Central Falls, he was the beloved husband of the late Germaine (Richard) Berard for 51 years. He graduated from Rhode Island College of Pharmacy and served in the US Army, stationed in Germany. He was the owner of Duchesneau's Pharmacy for many years and also worked at DePasquale's Pharmacy until his retirement in 2005. He will be sadly missed by his seven children, Elizabeth Hart, Gerald Berard, Diane Sharkey, Peter Berard, David Berard, Christine Collins, and Marc Berard, their spouses, his 19 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He was the brother of Helen Bennett, George Berard, Raymond Berard and the late Roger Berard, Claire Lemieux, Louise Beland, and John Berard. His funeral will be held on Monday, January 28, 2013 at 8:15 from the Keefe Funeral Home at 5 Higginson Avenue in Lincoln, with a mass of Christian burial celebrated at 9:30am in Holy Spirit Church (formerly St. Mathew's) in Central Falls on Dexter Street. Calling hours will be Sunday, January 27th from 3-6pm. Burial in Notre Dame Cemetery in Pawtucket.
