90, formerly of Pullen Ave, passed peacefully on March 5th. She was the wife of the late Warren J. Shaw Sr.
Born in Pawtucket, Madelyn was a daughter of the late Peter A. and Ella (Cormier) Sherry.
She had been employed by the former Swank Jewelry and Fuller Box Company for many years. She was a former president of the Ladies Auxiliary Pawtucket FOP.
She is survived three sons, Robert J. Shaw Sr. and his wife Linda of Palm Bay, FL, Peter F. Shaw Sr. and his wife Elaine, of Glocester, RI and Neil F. Shaw of Attleboro, MA, two daughters, Lyn Pina and her husband Tony of Cumberland and Maryellen Shaw of Yucaipa, CA, a sister, Barbara Thomas of Pawtucket, 17 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Warren J. Shaw Jr.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday at 11:30 am in Blessed Pope John Paul II, at St Leo Church, Central Ave, Pawtucket. Burial will be in the RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Relatives and friends are invited. Calling hours will be held Thursday from 6 to 8pm in the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
