92, passed on August 8th, after a brief illness.
Born in Johnston, he was the son of the late Ernest Borrelli and Bessie (Pezzullo) Borrelli.
Anthony is survived by his wife Lucille (Masse), and two daughters, Jane Loomis of Chepachet and Lisa Giovanni of Jackson, NH and a son, Victor Borelli, of Providence. He was the beloved brother of six sisters, Margaret Moore, Antonetta Thistle, Evelyn Quintus, Rose Croghan, Anna Rotundo, Mary Cervone and one brother, Ernest Borrelli Jr. He was the proud grandfather of four grandchildren and one great grandson. Anthony was a WWII veteran. He attended the New England Conservatory of Music and worked as a former bassist for the RI Philharmonic for 19 years, and performed with many Broadway musical tours throughout the country. Mr. Borelli was skilled in the arts of violin-making and painting; and was a past 3rd place winner in the RI Arts Festival.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 11am in St. Maria Goretti Church, Power Rd, Pawtucket. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket. Relatives and friends are invited to calling hours on Tuesday at 9am in the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Greenville Skilled Nursing & Rehab Center, 735 Putnam Pike, Greenville, RI 02828.
