Born, Sao Nicolau, Cape Verde, he was the son of the late Joao and Antonia (Ramos) DaCruz.
He had been employed as the chief cook on a large transport boat for 30 years.
Besides his wife, he is survived five children, Orlanda DaCruz, Fernando DaCruz, Antonia DaCruz, Manuel DaCruz and Jason DaCruz, eight grandchildren, a great granddaughter, three brothers, a sister and several nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be held Saturday at 8:45am from the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Edward Church, Weeden St, Pawtucket at 10am. Burial will be graveside in Mt. St. Mary Cemetery, Pawtucket. Relatives and friends are invited. Calling hours will be held Friday from 5 to 8pm.
